Our first idea for Batty was to make him a robot man with track wheels. We planned on using the light sensor to detect when the lights in a room were on or off. We soon found that for various reasons this idea would not work. Then we changed Batty's structure to a car. We attached two motors to the back of the yellow brick. Then we used gears and long plastic rods to make the wheels spin when the yellow brick was turned on. We added an extra wheel in the front instead of a slide pad. Our group is not sure why Batty didn't work,
even though we tried almost everything. It could have been that
the batteries were dead or that they were not connected properly,
we never had time to program Batty or use sensors, but we tried
our best. Things don't also happen perfectly in life. That is
how we ended our project. |
