GRAM 9R3

We learned about what we are going to do, and also to keep
it simple. We are going to have light sensors.

Greg thinks big wheels will help. Everyone agrees with him. We explored the kit, and we found a lot of stuff. Ideas run wild! No one knows what they're doing. We agree that our idea won't let the robot turn. Alex and Morgan are studying the wheels. We voted between slow with power, or fast with less power. Slow with power wins! Now, we start.

We are experimenting with the motor. Unfortunately, it fell apart. Alex found a 1x10 in the kit. Greg took a gear off of the robot. GRAM9R3 is being operated on to make it faster and stronger. As Alex studied the motor, it broke. The team starts to help repair the motor to original form. We found some gears in the kit, and attached them to GRAM. It falls apart under the eyes of our team.

Richie and Greg are the only ones present. Richie gets started on back wheels for GRAM. They seem to spin well, but we change our minds. He decides attaching six wheels will be a bad idea. Then, we decided that four wheels would be good. He attaches the four wheels to GRAM. Richie found an important piece, and we are about to finish. All we need is to attach the wings with Greg's brilliant idea of using rubber bands, and the pinchers in the front.

Greg brought two people. We added a touch sensor, too. We added a roof to our robot. Richie suggested doors, but we said no. The people were moved to the back. The people are now sitting in swivel chairs with back rests. We decided on no safety restraints, and we took of the roof, because it looked silly.

Somebody stole our Lego people!! We're all upset and mad. Greg is upset, because the people were his favorites. We use Richie's hand as a test ramp. It went smoothly across the hand. We decided that we have no need for the chairs, or the claw.

Alex is improving the motor, while Richie is downloading power to GRAM. We test run it in the hallway. It can over our hands, it's awesome!! We're all ready to make it turn. Alex and Morgan turn it into a powerful machine.

January 18, 2005

The robot would not download information. Mr. Cattanach is helping us. We are taking it out into the hallway, so we can test it. It staggers instead of running and turning. Morgan and Alex both had excellent ideas. We are going to try it out. Richie is absent. Greg is ready, and trying out his idea! Alex re-programmed our robot. Greg fixed and improved the robot. It made it more complicated, but he didn't fix the main problem. We all re-programmed the robot, again. It did not work at all.

January 25, 2005

Alex and Greg are arguing, because Alex has a very good idea. Morgan is incredibly bored, because of the arguing. Alex worked quietly with Greg.

February 1, 2005

Alex is working with Greg on our robot. We all agree that Richie should install the touch sensor program. We are ready to have Mr. Tellemosse take the robot's picture.

February 8, 2005

Gram9r3 can beep!! Greg was able to turn on the touch sensor and light. Alex has an idea that we all start on. Richie is fooling around,k making a "Dunt Pub" out of our pieces. We use " Dunt Pub" for a crash test dummy. It proves that Gram9r3 was very durable "fighting" the robot.
