4/6/04 Hey! Today (our 1st day of working) Karley, Andrew, Anthony, and Melanie are trying to put on the motor. 4/20/04 Today we are putting the wheels on. We keep trying to find the "perfect" wheel. Also, all of us are just looking for gears and well, getting them to work. We have changed a lot. So many problems have accrued every now and then. YESS! We finally got both of the wheels to work! Now, we just have to make sure that they stay like that. Ok…we just took it all apart! We have another idea. Andrew got bigger and better tires and a lot better gears for them. We will test it out next science class . We'll be at computer programming it in 3 days…FRIDAY!!! See ya then!
4/30/04 We are having a really bad day. We had to take off the batteries and re-program our whole thing. Right now the download is at 78%. It keeps saying that the download failed! Now we just programmed it AGAIN. It's was at 98% and then the thing just stopped! Aw man! Again it happened at 12%. Now it happened at 0%! It happened AGAIN at 2%. Again at 14%, 0%, 4% and I…we ALL hope it just works. FINALLY IT WORKS!!! We are all soooo happy!!! 5/4/04 Our robot isn't that stable so we are making it more stable. We finished but we are adding things. We all decided to put on wings and surprisingly nothing fell off yet… except the wings now. We are using light and touch sensors. On Friday, we will program more stuff. 5/7/04 Hello, today we just found out that our robot can turn and move! We all can't believe it! We are now making a 2nd program. 5/14/04 It's computer class. We just changed our robot. Instead of having a light censor and touch censor, we are only going to have a tough censor. Now, we are programming it and testing it. The touch censor didn't work. It just didn't have the right switch. Andrew is talking to Mr. Cattanach right now about it. I think it will work. Hold on…it's worked! Mel just told me. It's funny, every time I go out L818 doesn't work, but when I am in here it does. I will go look one more time hold on. Yah! It FINALLY worked when I was out there! Good! But there is one problem. When she hits the wall, she turns instead of going backwards. So Andrew and Mel are trying to fix that. Anthony is usually in charge of going to Mr. Cattanach or he is a helper. Andrew and Mel are the robot people; they usually fix the MAJOR problems. Sometimes Mel helps me write. I am usually an all-around person. If someone doesn't want to write… there I am. Every week, we have something to do…we are a great team. 5/21/04 Today, Andrew and Anthony are putting two more wheels on. Mel is finding them. 5/24/04 Mel brought a person in to put on our robot. We used this really cool one on Lightning818. We also put a light on so when she runs she will have a light to lead her way through a whole new "robot" world. con turns on the engines. But aoff and coff turns off the engines.
Also wait 20, 40, and so on tells the robot how long to run for.
Bon boff turns off on the light. Setpower sets the power or how
fast the robot goes. Thisway and thatway tells the robot to go
forward or backward. Well now you know what all that stuff above
