11/23/04 Today we decided what type of robot we wanted . 11/30/04 Today we started to build our robot. We added two motors and started the body. 12/7/04 We named our robot in computers, its names is microwave3000 .Today we attached the gears so we can put the wheels on. We also brain stormed ideas as to what our robot will do. Crazy ,crazy ideas, figuring out how to put wheels on. We figured a way to attach wheels, now we just need to do the back wheels ! 12/14/04 Today we are trying to attach the wheels and we put our gears on and we're about finished. 12/21/04 Today our robot fell apart because it wasn't stable, so we are trying to rebuild it. Finished. WE finally got finished building it, Mr. Telmose said it was OK! 1/14/05 Today we are programming our robot. We downloaded our program and watched what it did. It turned in circles. Now we are experimenting if we can make it go in a square or make it go straight and turn halfway. We were out in the hall when Ian ran it into the wall. It broke. And we actually fixed it without breaking it, and it broke again. WE FIXED HOORAY!!!!!!!!! 1/22/05 Today it is going in circles so we have to try to make it stop. Argue, argue. Now it is going backwards. Now we are trying to make it go straight and then turn around. Still it is going in circles. We just can't figure it out. YES, WE GOT IT, VICTORY!!!!! Circles once again. Here we go again. Hopefully we have it this time since Mr. Cattanach is helping us. Now it wouldn't stop going! Now we have to reload the battery next time. 1/28/05 Now we took off the front wheels and got it to go really fast. It still goes in circles, but that's ok Mr. Cattanach is helping us. We put new batteries and had to reload the whole program that took up a lot of our time. Mr. Cattanach helped, but it accidentally broke. Now we're rebuilding it, but no worries, we fixed it. 2/4/05 Today we argued and now we are putting the front wheels back on. And more arguing. We are trying to modify the robot so it will run right. There is something wrong with the gears. Mr. Cattanach is helping us. HOORAY! IT WORKS! Now we will experiment. 2/11/05 Today we cannot open our project. 10 minutes has gone by and we still can't find it. Mr. Cattanach just told us to restart the computer. Next, the engines are set at the same power. Then, both engines are turned on and go forward for 2 seconds. After that, the engine on the right side is turned off for 2 seconds so it could turn right. Then, both engines are turned on again so it can go straight again for 2 seconds. Lastly, both engines are turned off.
