Our Plan Our plan is to use the light sensor. When the sensor sees a dark color, it will stop for 1 second and then turn away. Before it turns away, it will beep and then turn away. It wasn't that easy for Nolan. Mr. Cattanach went through all of the rules and showed us a model and how it works. How we built the NSRJC In the Lego Mindstorms booklet, we probably followed all of the steps on some of the pages. We followed steps one and two on page 4. We also did steps four and five. It was pretty hard but we got it done. It looked like a half car. Nolan now moved on to steps five, six, seven, and eight. When we were finished, we also did steps nine, ten, and eleven. We did most of that on October 2, 2003. On October 9, 2003, we moved on to the motors and we are trying to put on the gears. We added some designs, like bumpers and we moved some legos so that the sencer could be seen. Now we found a name for our car and the name is NSRJC. The week after that, we started to program it. We did all of that on October 23, 2003. The week after that, we finished it! Now we are doing its view. The view for LIGHT 735 and the view for Dark is 799. We have finished everything but the programming. On November 12, 2003 we finished everything! Problems with the NSRJC On October 9, 2003 we were having a little problem, it was with the motors. The motors kept falling off. Every time we put legos on to make them stay on. Finally, we did it and they stayed on. Another problem we were featuring was the NSRJC fell apart. It fell apart while we were test driving it. Then Nolan fixed it and it was better than before! Those were two of our problems we had. Our Program The program to the NSRJC is: to nsrjc |
