9/24/04-

Today we are picking our sensors.
We picked the light censor. We are picking out the gears, motors and we are trying to figure out there to put the censor.

10/1/04-

Today Billy found a way to keep the bottom part still.
We are trying to make the robot simple.We are
figuring out where to put wheels, motors, and gears.

10/7/04

We are trying to finish the robot. We are fighting over what wheel we're putting on. We don't know whether or not to put the big wheels or the small wheels on. Yesssssss! We finally picked the wheels. Now we're getting somewhere! Now we have to figure out where to put the motors. I think we finally figured it out!

10/16/04

Today we figured out how to work the gears. Adam, Nick, Billy, Rachel, and Krista just agreed to use the
light censor because it is easier to put on. We are almost done. Now we are decorating it. We are almost done. All we have to do is name it and program it.

10/21/04

We just downloaded the simple program. Mr. Cattanach said for us to make it turn out instead we did a u-turn. Now he is challenging us to make us do something more than a turn, we made it go forward, turn and come back to where it started. Now we are just fiddling with the seconds.

10/28/04

We just got into computer class a few minutes ago. We are trying to make it go faster. Now we are seeing how it works in the hall, it is pretty accurate. This is our old program:

This is a challenge. We have to try to make a square. We just programmed it. We tested it, but it needs a little more accuracy. Now it's looking like a trapezoid. We are finally getting a little closer! We keep on having to walk out into the hall to try out what it's doing.

 

11/11/04

Today we are trying to set power. ( make it go slower or faster) Mr. Cattanach just helped us out a little bit, by telling us how to do it. (asetpower# and csetpower#) After we do that, we have take a picture for the website. Now we are trying to make it more accurate. We just took the picture.

 

11/18/04

Our robot fell apart, so Billy is putting it back together, while we are writing a program, so when Billy is done we can program it right away. We think that Billy is done, so we are going to program it. No we are testing it in the hallway. Now it is going backwards instead of frontwards. Finally, it is working great. ( it's going frontwards and making the turns good) It's almost perfect!!! We think we're going to use the censor now. We just tested it in the hallway. We can take it apart now!!! Yay!!!
