November 22, 2004

We looked at pictures from a website to get an idea of our robot. We learned to keep it simple.

November 29, 2004

Today we checked out our kits, and got an idea for our robot design. Our sketch is finished, but we might have to change it.

December 6, 2004

We're still doing our robots, and putting our wheels on. We finally got our wheels to attach to our robot, but we had to take it apart to put it away.

December 13, 2004

We figured out that the wheels go too fast for the length of the body. Rebecca had a great idea; she put the pipes on the wheels. The robot looked so cool once we finished it. A swivel chair is at the back. Then we decorated the robot.

December 20, 2004

We are putting a Lego person on our robot. We made a little office room complete with a steering wheel. We are finally done with all the changes.

December 27, 2004

We are starting to program Rainbowroodle. We ran into a few difficulties before we started. We couldn't find the program. Finally, Rick found it. Now we are running into more difficulties. We can't get the beep test to work on the robot. We turned on the robot but it still didn't work. Jordan and Heather got it to beep, finally! Now we are downloading the program into the robot.

January 4, 2005

Now we are experiencing difficulties. We got the robot to beep, but then the wheels fell off. Now we are repairing the front of the robot, and working on getting it to run. Now we are trying to make it program a square. Mr. Cattanach helped us program it. It wasn't working but after Mr. Cattanach helped it run forwards and backwards. It is long but works.

January 11, 2005

We are going to be download are robot's program. Rebecca's safety patrol belt got caught on the robot and made it flip. It landed on it's wheels and nothing was broken. We are trying to make are robot go forward ever time we run it. Our robot just broke, but we are putting it back together.

January 18, 2005

Last week our robot broke but we were able to rebuild it very quickly. We just downloaded it. We learned how to make it turn. It runs perfectly.

January 25, 2005

We are changing the wheels in the front, so the robot will turn. Our robot broke again, but we fixed it. We had to make it sturdier. We tested it, and it runs perfectly. We are getting our robots picture taken.

February 8, 2005

Our robot needs to work on turning. We keep on changing the program to make it turn better. It makes a full 360, both clockwise and counterclockwise.

February 15, 2005

First, we are doing the last run of our robot. We are taking the robot apart, today. Heather, Rebecca, and Chris are organizing the box. The boys, Jordan and Rick, are typing.
