Thunder

by Paul, Elizabeth, Daniel, Nikie, Jake

Week 1

At first we were going to make our robot run on tracks, but we where having trouble getting the gears to fit. Then we decided to use wheels that would work with light and touch sensors. Now Paul got the gears to work, and Jake and Nikie connected the motors to the brick.

Week 2
We got our touch sensors put on. We are running into problems with the sensors, but we are up and running now! We are fixing the support problems. Our wheels aren't working either.

Week 3
We are arguing about what to do. We fixed the sensors. Got wheels supported having problems with wheels. Getting more problems. It is sturdier now. It can hold itself up. We are trying to attach a third wheel to help keep the robot up. We are done with the actual robot. When programming we forgot to put coff a off so it kept going straight. The robot can do two complete circles. Now it's working we got it down the C hall. We put a wheel in the back and sliders under the motors. We are trying to get it to the lunchroom. Our goal is now to get it to the lunchroom. We got it to the end of the C-Wing. First plan was to get it to the lunchroom but then we were going to get it to the library. Mr. Cattanach said we have to do a short range course. The sensors are not working again. We got it programmed and working then it doesn't want to work.

Last week:
We typed this and took apart our robots and we raced with Andrew's group.

loop [thunder]

What it does:
First, both motors go on. Then, they both get set in the same direction. It keeps on going forward until one of the touch sensors gets touched. Then both motors go off. Then it turns right for two seconds. Next, both motors go on. Then, they both get set in the same direction. It keeps on going forward until one of the touch sensors gets touched. Then both motors go off. Then it turns right for two seconds. Then the loop part means the same program goes over and over.
